What is Wrong with Black People?mHow Post-slave Psychology and Afrocentricitym mmare joining with Colonialism to underminemmm Black Africa's Cultural Integrity
Lulu Publications, USA, 2007
Tell me, how different is your book to others who may be dealling with the same type of subjects?
=> This book is extremely challenging, but mainly different from any other book published before and that deals with disturbing issues of social inequality in any society and political disputes on a much wider international scale; and in this sense, instead of repeating the traditional methodology of emotional description of human horrors for humanitarian purposes, it proposes a set of technical solutions that can heal human misery and frustrations in post-modern times.
What would be the catch-phrase or sub-line of your book that would tell the reader why they particularly should read it. What's yours?
=> An explicit and technical insight into the underpinnings of human inequalities
What does the book do?
=> The book exposes and overturns the witty tricks of political and academic dogma and media misinformation on the reasons for some human species (i. e. blacks) to suffer so much frustration and brutality in history
What benefits does it offer the reader?
=> A better understanding of the motives for human inequalities to persist even in modern times as well as the discovery of practical solutions to curve them down.
Why should it be read?
=> It should be read because of its potential contribution to meliorating human relations within societies in the sense that it is great material for cognitive introspection, but it can also improve relations between societies since it is equally a practical tool for methodological approach to international relations. In other words, in can help humans and nations from being bullied and destroyed by others once they truly discover why this happens in the first place
Who is your primary target audience?
=> People who, like myself, are worried about the future of humanity
Who is your secondary target audience?
=> People with some academic profile who are curious about new ideas on issues of concern
What makes your book so pertinent and interesting to them
=> Because my book offers them something they may have never come across. The book shows how impertinent and catastrophically misleading a huge range of political, social principles by which we have all been bought up to cherish can be, even in the field of historical exploration.
Where are your audience?
=> Mostly in universities, parliaments, international organisations, as well as any other type of political, academic and spiritual institution.
What clubs do they go to?
=> Churches (mostly syncretistic mix-race churches) and mosques
What magazines do they read?
=> Historical, scientific, popular culture, academic and spiritual magazines
What events do they congregate at?
=> Academic commencement days, speech days, seminars, conferences, Sunday Christian sermons and Friday Islamic prayers
Where do they buy books?
=> Church and Mosque resource centres as well as any other major bookshop
Do they get books referred to them by friends, clubs, education facilities, newsletters etc?
=> As they are mostly followers of some ideology, so they are more vulnerable to co-followers' recommendations
Do they buy online? Or at bookshops? Or at supermarkets?
=> Mostly from bookshops
What sort of gimmicks do they like? What promotional activity would they notice and appreciate?
=> They would consume practically anything recommended to them by their congregation chiefs and lecturers
What other books out there are similar to yours?
=> Most of the books that I argue and contradict in the field of political science, sociology, anthropology and ethno-linguistics
What distinguishes your book from others in the same genre / with a similar theme?
=> The fact that my book does not practise philosophical complacency nor social or political correctness and therefore presents a more technical—I should say mechanical—and, thus, practical approach to the same themes. My book is extremely aggressive and thought-provoking.
What author/s do you most admire and why?
=> I admire an American philosopher and psychologist call William James (1842-1910) who, in Pragmatism: A New Name For Some Old Ways Of Thinking,(1907), wrote that ‘the truth of an idea is not a property that is inactively inherent to it. Truth is an event which occurs for an idea. That idea becomes true as it is given and considered true by certain facts. It acquires its truth by a work that it carries out: the work which consists in checking itself, the aim and the result of which are its own verification. The same way, it acquires its validity by carrying out the work the aim and the result of which are its own validation.' By this James taught me that philosophical and psychological opinionated subjectivism cannot decide about the truthfulness of an idea until the observable facts to which it refers have themselves carried out the work of verifying and validating it as true. In his sense, my book does not propose great ideas from my mind, but rather a faithful reading of facts.
What author/s do you think your writing style is most similar to?
=> Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche, Booker T Washington and Richard Dawkins: people who have been most preoccupied by a completely detached, mechanical observation of facts rather than valuing any scraps of their own feelings about them. This is why my book is challenging and true, because I am heartlessly objective and indifferently fair when I write.
Why did you write the book?
=> I decided to write the book because I felt the need to contribute to deterring human intelligence from fooling itself by emotional viewpoints with no philosophical basis for scientific intelligibility (i. e. expressing an emotional condemnation of racism without trying to uncover the motives that would force human nature to enliven into the expression of disparagement of some kind even towards humans of some type. In this sort of issue, emotional individuals would flatly refuse to admit that there would be any scientific causes for racist attitudes to emerge from human psychology at all).
Where did inspiration come from?
=> My inspiration came from my observation and personal experience of horrendous ‘injustices' whilst in the difficulty to systematically take on board the idea that evil deeds are performed by evil people. In this sense, I can say that my inspiration came from the need to understand whether evil could be a providential disposition embedded in the very genetic structure of the human genus, or just a chanceful choice by some humans or a rule of life, an explicable mechanism…
What knowledge, experience, skill, training, hobby or association enables you to write on this subject?
=> I should begin with my experience. The fact that my soul descended into black tissue and therefore making me a part of one of the most brutalised races on earth is the first thing that did mark me quite deeply. I did not want to cut and run by trading into the footsteps of those who would thoughtlessly see European and Asian species as evil beings by nature. It was even more than contradictory--I shall say paradoxical--to see the white race, one of the races that fight some much for human comfort, being the very one to cause my discomfort on earth. There was no way I could hide behind emotional opinions in the face of such a vivid paradox. It was due to this that I resolved to study the humanities to try and find a way into a genuinely objective understanding of the phenomenon. This is what pushed me into doing a degree in philology, linguistics and history, with some standalone modules of philosophy, anthropology, international relations and psychology, as well as presenting a Master's thesis in Anglo-American history. I then did a higher education teaching certificate after which I began to teach foreign languages (which did not last since I was more preoccupied by doing freelance research to solve my problem). Since then I have acquired a wide rage of experience in terms of researching, communicating, working as a team member mostly in political and social organisations as well as my affiliation to huge spiritual congregations both in Africa and Europe. So it is quite predictable that I should write a book dealing with social, historical, political, ethnological and ethno-linguistic issues…
What contacts do you have that could help promote or endorse the book? Ie. celebrity, spokespeople in their industry etc.
=> Christopher Livingstone Eubank, who is a local celebrity, is aware of my writing activities, which I have already discussed with him on some occasions. He can be contacted if this required, and he should be happy to endorse my book…
Have you won or been shortlisted for any accolades, prizes, awards etc?
=> No, except that I recently received a postal notification that my first book, The Some of all Doubts (2004) was recently classified by an American independent literary review as a 21 st century philosophical endeavour. So I am quite happy to be seen as a 21 st century philosopher…That alone means a lot to me.
Are you a member of any clubs?
=> Not that I should see as such
What further educational establishment did you attend?
=> Thames Valley University, London
Is there anything particularly unique about you that you would happily talk about?
=> I hate both the idea of unanswered questions and that of questionable answers. I never sleep while I have a question in my mind until I make sure that I have come to the kind of answer that would require changing the principles of existence in order to punt it into question…
What else have you written? Magazine articles, short stories etc.
=> Two previous books: The Sum of all Doubts (2004) and Les Mythes du Recaptif (2005).
Thank you very much for your time Mr Mintsa
=> Thank you.
